How Did We Create This Cool Web Site?

Okay, for those of you wireheads who absolutely must know how we assembled this web site, here's the lowdown on the hardware and software we used (by the way, we think you folks really should get out more often):

Hardware

  • CPUs: Power Macintosh G3, G4 workstations
  • Stone Age Implements: Pencils, pens, rulers, erasers, and other ancient artifacts

Software
  • Macromedia Freehand
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Adobe Dimensions
  • Netscape Navigator
  • Internet Explorer
  • SimpleText
  • BBEdit
  • GifBuilder

We created virtually all of the web graphics in Macromedia Freehand, exported them to Photoshop, played around with them a bit, then converted them to GIFs or JPEGs. The portfolio graphics were obviously done in a variety of ways, including freehand illustration, standard photography, and several different software programs, brought into Photoshop from their original formats, and then converted to GIFs or JPEGs. We wrote nearly all of the HTML code in SimpleText or BBEdit. The gratuitous animation to the right was created in Adobe Dimensions and GifBuilder. We checked the whole thing countless times in various browsers, uploaded it to the server, and voila' - our nifty keen web site.

If you like our web site, or if you think it stinks like a wet yak, or you have any other questions, comments, or suggestions, please visit our Contact Us page to let us know what you think.
